Paris park, Parc Kellermann

History and description of the Paris garden "Parc Kellermann"

The Paris garden "Parc Kellermann" is the largest garden in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, its area equals 5.6 ha.
The garden was built on a portion of the old fortifications of Thiers that stretched over nearly 33 kms (20.5 miles).
This typical Paris garden of the 30s, located between the "boulevard Kellermann" and the "boulevard périphérique", was built in 1937 and refurbished in 1960.
It has 3 levels with a river, a pound and waterfall, and two stairways which lead to the terrace.
The garden has also several playgrounds, a soccer (football) field and tennis courts.

How to get to the Paris garden

To go to the park, you can use the Paris metro line 7 Porte d'Italie station.

Entrance fee and opening hours

The park opens at 8:00am on the week, and 9:00am on the weekend.
Its closing hours depend on the season. It's a free admission garden.
